Read More →Asansol Girls' College, a premier institution of this coalfield and industrial region of West Bengal, came into existence in 1950 mainly as a result of the untiring efforts of Dr. Lalit Mohan Sen, the then CSO, Mines Board of Health, and his consort Smt. Kamala Sen. During its formative years, the college benefited from the leadership of Dr. Anjali Roy, a dedicated educationist, who, along with her team of devoted colleagues, nurtured it into one of the most prestigious institutions under Kazi Nazrul University. In 1969, a Morning Section was introduced to address the growing demand for higher education among girls in this area.
